Bryn Mawr Veterinary Hospital, located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, has provided personalized, high quality care to families and their pets for more than 40 years. The hospital, which first opened in the mid 1960's was acquired by Drs. Steve Cantner and Judy Shekmar in 1979-fufilling their life-long dream of owning a small animal practice.

For the past thirty years Bryn Mawr Veterinary hospital has made your pet's health our top priority. Our doctors and staff are dedicated to providing you and your family with the latest in veterinary medical care as well as excellent customer service. Our doctors are supported by a highly trained and skilled staff. A technician even resides above the hospital and keeps an eye on all overnight patients.

When you call or visit Bryn Mawr Veterinary Hospital, you will experience a genuine family type atmosphere. you will be greeted by a warm and friendly staff member, and receive prompt and courteous service at all times.

Our Facility

In 2005 the hospital underwent a major renovation, resulting in expanded space and increased staff. We improved our ability to offer your pets medical and surgical care as well as meet your pets boarding needs. In addition to increasing our boarding capacity, we are excited to offer renovated bathing facilities and an indoor play-room.

Our Clientele

Our clients are some of the best! Families from all over the Main Line. Ardmore, Bala Cynwyd, Havertown and Gladwyne have joined us to help keep their pets happy and healthy. We are happy to offer veterinary care to the pets of students and faculty attending local university's including Villanova University, Haverford College, Harcum College, Rosemont College and Bryn Mawr College.
